I wouldn't mind the new place so much if a) the walk to the stadium wasn't so far and so fucking dull (get some of the independent sellers back along the route) and b) the fans were so fucking far away from the pitch.

Absolute travesty we have moved.
Planning permission passed to redevelop the chicken run and increase capacity from 35k to 42k which is enough for us. Imagine how that would have looked with the whole ground joined up and complete.
There were chapters still to be written at Upton Park.

Was over there before Christmas. Had a little walk about. Couple of homeless blokes were sleeping in the entrances to the BML. Felt a bit strange, and sad when I'd left, knowing I'll probably never be over that way again. I'd have no reason to.

I have seen the pitch in better nick, sack the grounds Man! I was there myself only last Friday & it is sad to see the old ground disappearing. However, onwards & upwards!

That was the year my great Granddad moved to Waghorn Road from Allas Road Bethnal Green and him and my granddad started going. Granddad was 14 then, sadly left us 23 years ago now. Glad he's not here to see it really :(

it reminds me of the time i left my victorian big house in East Ham after 25 years to a wates type house in Dagenham, sad but life went on with new memories.
